extruded pvc tubing bonding method

The bonding of extruded pvc tubing is an important procedure in pipeline construction. This procedure has a great impact on the use of PVC pipes.
At present, the bonding methods of PVC pipes are divided into two types: rigid PVC pipes and soft PVC pipes.
There are three bonding methods for soft pvc pipes: heat sealing, solvent bonding, and adhesive bonding.

1. Heat sealing

It is mainly used for the bonding of films, and low-frequency sealers, high-frequency sealers, etc. are often used.

2. Solvent bonding

The above-mentioned solvent adhesives for bonding rigid extruded pvc tubing can be used for bonding soft PVC pipe products such as films, sheets, and artificial leather.

Commonly used solvents are: tetrahydrogenol, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone.

3. Adhesive bonding

Adhesive bonding of soft PVC pipes is generally applied with polyethylene-vinyl acetate, nitrile rubber-phenolic resin, polyurethane, acrylic resin, acrylic resin-epoxy resin, epoxy resin-polyurethane and other adhesives.
