The compressive strength of stainless steel packing is much higher than that of plastic and ceramic packing. The pressure resistance of the packing is the ability to resist plastic deformation at a certain temperature.  It is not only related to the material of filler, but also has a great relationship with its structure size and processing technology.  Chemical composition, heat treatment, grain size, metallographic structure and other mechanical properties are the main factors affecting the impact properties of metals.  For carbon steel, the strength and hardness increase with the increase of carbon content, while the plasticity and impact value decrease.  

Metal fillers are worse than plastic and ceramic fillers.  It is easy to be corroded by water, atmosphere and various organic or inorganic solvents, so its use is limited to a certain extent.  And metal fillers are expensive compared to ceramic and plastic fillers.
